We are trilled to announce that TOOMS will be playing their new album Karst at Monk Fest this year.
TOOMS are a Metallic Sludge trio from the West of Ireland. Drawing inspiration from ignorant caveman riffs, doom's thick tones, the raw attack of death metal and hardcore's cold aggression, they offer a unique cocktail of filthy, pummeling heft that is comfortable exploring more progressive and experimental territories.
Karst came out in May via Cursed Monk, Road To Masochist, and Fiadh Productions and received critical acclaim across the board!
“Karst can’t really be summarized by any single track, but for sure the shape of the whole is lethal regardless of flow. Maybe all the more for it.” - The Obelisk
“You’ll be a fool to miss out on hearing this album. This is the moment when the rest of the world starts paying attention to this band.” - Games, Brrraaains & A Head-Banging Life
“Essential Listening” - Wonderbox Metal
"KARST can only be described as an absolute MONSTER that’s jam packed with brutal gigantic sounds that destroys everything within its wake." - Outlaws Of The Sun
“Undeniably, “Lowlander” is intensely captivating, in the way that a headlock is captivating. It’s galvanic as well as distressing, intriguing as well as traumatic. And don’t be surprised if it gets rooted in your head after just one listen” - NO CLEAN SINGING
“It's so damn filthy” - Metal Temple
TOOMS take the stage on Saturday July 4th in Pharmacia Limerick.
Monk Fest is in aid of Temple St. Children’s Hospital.
