After their storming performance in 2024 it was only a matter of time before the Soothsayer returned!

Emerging from Cork, Ireland in late 2013, Soothsayer came together when five forces aligned to create a sound rooted in blackened, doom-soaked intensity. Blending introspective angst with raw social frustration, they quickly built a reputation across Ireland for their crushing, sludge-driven live shows.

Their self-titled debut EP dropped in 2014, recorded live in the Irish countryside—a method that became central to their identity. Dark, immersive, and enigmatic, the band steadily expanded their reach beyond Cork.

In 2017, At This Great Depth (via Transcending Obscurity) pushed them onto the international stage, with appearances at Gothoom Festival in Slovakia and shows in Malta—later captured on Soothsayer Live in Malta MMXIX.

Momentum continued with a 2018 split alongside Partolón and shows with Bell Witch, Alcest, and Dead Witches. By 2019, they entered the studio for their debut album Echoes of the Earth, featuring Dave Ingram, Paul Catten, and Eugene Robinson.

Through 2020 and beyond, the band refined their sound while releasing Live in Malta MMXIX via Cursed Monk Records. In 2021, Echoes of the Earth saw a wider vinyl release through Vendetta Records.

By 2023, Soothsayer reached new heights, performing at Bloodstock Festival (UK), taking the stage directly after Megadeth.

In 2024, they entered Last Light Studios (Dublin) to record their second album, The Unbinding—their most focused and powerful work yet. A harrowing, immersive journey through the band’s evolving sound.

In 2026 they signed to the amazing Apocalyptic Witchcraft, who will release The Unbinding this July! Check out the first single Echoing the Sky below.

Soothsayer will take the stage on Saturday July 4th iMonk Fest 2025

Tickets are available here. Monk Fest is in aid of Temple St. Children’s Hospital.
