Since their birth from the grey and unforgiving North East of England in 2014, GEIST have established themselves as a force to be reckoned with in the UK underground, playing a feral mix of dark hardcore, crust and metal.
They have toured extensively, both independently and with international acts, whilst gaining a reputation for an impressive live show that has been described as a "claustrophobic assault on the senses" and have been hailed as "one of the best hardcore bands in the UK" Volume Over Substance describes GEIST as “the UK’s answer to Converge” and has called their live show “claustrophobic chaos”

During the Covid 19 Pandemic in 2020, GEIST streamed a blistering live performance from Blank Studios, Newcastle Upon Tyne, which featured new track One Less Leach. The performance was released on Cassette by Trepanation Recordings in 2021.
This past September we once again teamed up with the band, and Black Omega, with Trepanation Recordings joining us to release GEIST’s sophomore album “Blueprints To Moderate Sedation”
A punishing, crushing beast of an album which once again blew the critics away.
GEIST’s performance at Monk Fest 2024 will be the bands first time playing in Ireland and is a show not to be missed.
