We are back after our little break and what better way to kick off 2023 than with some brand new work from The Mountain King, this time with Cursed Monk newcomer Gate To Xibalba in tow. Gate To Xibalba is a drone metal project from Sweden, that create pitch black guitar based soundscapes. The pairing with The Mountain King on this split album is nothing short of perfect, with both acts offering up monumentally heavy, other worldly tracks. Fans of Sunn O))), Boris, and Nadja will not want to sleep on this. The Mountain King / Gate To Xibalba Split is out on CD and Digital Download February 24th and can be preordered below.
